Sales Report based on Tax (Financial) Year
  • jbsmjbsm October 2012

Would like it if I could get the sales reports to display via tax year, rather than the whole year.
We run our tax year from 6th April to the 5th April.

I'm curious about this as well. It seems to only offer "Total Tax" without a date range. This, to me, seems like it's the total taxes I've ever collected. I think the software should offer a date range option to be much more flexible.

In the meantime, I'm keeping a spreadsheet and just recording the "Total Tax" and "Total Sales" values at dates that are important to me (the first of every month, in my case). I can then easily subtract the previous value and find the difference added in that month.

I've made a post in another discussion with a modification that allows you to view your taxes by month. I'm not sure if this can even help you, because your cycle starts mid-month. Your only way will be to record the "Total Tax" every April 5th. The SQL querying is going to get really ugly trying to account for tax years.
